just a racet

The F1 season is just around the corner. Bahrain is the scheduled opening round. As most know though Bahrain is a country in turmoil presently. A country where protesters are being killed and civil unrest is the last place a race needs to be held. Most all racing series in the world would understand that postponment is the only option. Sadly though F1 doesnt get the message. Yes F1 wants to still have the opening round in Bahrain. What could posibly be more important than the wellfare of the teams, fans and people living in the country? Of course money. This is all about money that is put into F1 by companys and people in Bahrain. Teams in F1 have business intrests, investors and sponsors from the small country. If F1 were to cancel the race they fear that money colud be lost long term. When you hear the top brass of F1 speak they make it sound like they are going on with the race for the wellfare of the country.
We have all heard and seen about the violence going on. The saftey and wellfare for a lot of people would be at stake during the opening round. Not onlythe drivers, teams spectators but also the citizens of the country. This would unfortunetly be a perfect time if someone wanted to make a statement against the country. The only thing that can make any sense is to cancel the race this year. Sadly though I think for F1 is is not even an option. To F1 please cancel the race. You can recoup any losses money wise. But the live that are going to be put at risk is not worth it. Just rember F1 it is only a race afterall.
